I would just like to echo Tom's sentiments from last night. A small handful of people of people do most every job at the club, so if you enjoy playing for Sulians (who wouldn't) don't be afraid to volunteer to get more involved in the running of the club.
This time last year I decided I wanted to tour, and if I had to organise it mayself then I'd do that, just to make sure we went. It turns out it nearly killed me for the next 10 months, but I can safely say it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had, right up to the point that a whole nightful of beer arrived in the tour pisspot last night! Cheers guys for that.
This year I'll be organising tour again with the help of Will Quibell, and another (yet to be named) person. Therefore first request is for a first teamer to get in touch to help. It won't be much work, mainly getting people to sign up and collect monies. If you think you have a little time to give something back to the club please get in touch with me.
Secondly, as tour organisation got the better of my sanity and time I had to give up being social secretary, which is why the likes of ferret racing never materialised. So if anyone out there fancies taking on the job and making 3 nights happen at the club over the coming season put your hand near one of the old boys.
Lastly there are lots of jobs to been done at the club to keep the place going, so please do offer to volunteer to help out. Even just a little is far better than nothing.
Enough, I'm off to find a clown outfit.
